DomiNque’s mother enrolled her at the famed Ensemble Theater Young Performers Program in Houston, where they hosted a summer program for potential young actresses, when she was seven years old, realizing her daughter had a penchant for entertaining and “showing out” for everyone.
She was trained in singing, dancing, acting, and stage production there. DomiNque went on to attend a performing arts elementary, middle, and high school, where she studied dance and piano and later became captain of the Kashmere High cheerleading squad.
DomiNque attended the Ensemble Theater’s Young Performers Summer Camp as well as main stage shows and musicals till the age of 17.
DomiNque attended Prairie View A&M University after graduating from high school, where she majored in drama and became a “Black Fox Majorette” for the PVAMU marching Storm Band.
She also attended Texas Southern University and joined the Ocean of Soul Band as a “motion” majorette. She was recognized while dancing at TSU by one of the team’s alumnus who wanted to establish a dance team and audition for MTV’s America’s Best Dance Crew.
Dominque joined the crew (named Xtreme Motion) and auditioned for MTV, where they were picked as one of the select teams to perform on MTV. Despite the fact that Xtreme Motion did not make it through the first episode, DomiNque was adamant that her quest was far from over.
She continued to compete in dance and singing competitions, danced background for local musicians, and appeared in local films and theater productions, including “Because I Love You,” directed by Joseph Elmore and later featured on Netflix.
She began a singing career and wrote songs that she played at numerous venues, but her main goal was to become an actress. She traveled back and forth to Los Angeles for countless film and music video auditions, and she earned her start right away by appearing in Snoop Dogg and T-“Boom.”

She landed her first major on-screen job as “Shonda” in “Get Hard,” starring Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart, after several tryouts.
She went on to play “Yolanda” in the film “American Hero,” starring Stephen Dorff and Eddie Griffen, and “Splendid” in the TVOne comedy series “Born Again Virgin.”
She decided to make the big move to Los Angeles after living in Atlanta for four years! She landed the role of “Tasha” on HBO’s blockbuster series “Insecure” and felt it was the perfect time to stay and advance her career in the big metropolis. She was also a guest star on WGN’s “Underground” as “Sally.”
