Queen Chelsea, better known online as ChelseaVFX or queenchelseavfx, is a 27 years old Canadian content creator. She’s a talented visual effects (VFX) artist who’s gained a huge following on Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, and Threads. Whether she’s jumping into a cup of coffee or dancing with animated shoes, she brings a fun, magical twist to everyday life.
Childhood and Family
Queen Chelsea was born on March 22, 1998, in Hamilton, Ontario. She is from Ontario, now living in Toronto. For a short time during middle school, she lived in Indiana, USA, because of her dad’s job. That’s where she started making videos with her best friend Alison, using a simple flip video camera.
She eventually moved back to Hamilton, where she continued growing up with a supportive family. While she doesn’t share a lot of personal family details online, it’s clear that her family means a lot to her. In 2020, during the pandemic, she moved to Toronto to be closer to them, and that decision helped her stay grounded as she focused more on content creation.
Educational Qualification
Chelsea studied Film and Television Production at New York University (NYU) and graduated in 2020. While at NYU, she got hands-on experience with short films, especially sci-fi and magical stories, which helped her discover her passion for VFX.
Career
After finishing her degree, she started working in pre-production animation, where she worked on storyboards, sound effects, and timing. It was a cool job, but over time, she realized she wanted more creative freedom.
In November 2021, she created a TikTok account (@queenchelsea) to experiment with VFX. One of her early videos—where she jumps into animated dancing shoes—went viral in mid-2022, and it quickly boosted her visibility. That playful clip showed just how fun and original her content could be.
By October 2023, her animation contract ended, and instead of taking another job, she took a big leap and became a full-time content creator. It turned out to be the right move—her followers grew by 135.18% in just six months.
Now, she has:
-
673.1K followers on TikTok, with 29.2 million likes and videos that often get 30 million views.
-
849K followers on Instagram, where she posts amazing reels, like the one where she climbs a “rocky journey” mountain that got 20 million views.
- Most recent viral reel “world’s longest icicle? 🥶❄️🧊” got over 283 million views.
-
638K subscribers on YouTube, with 165 videos focused on tutorials, breakdowns, and fan Q&As.
-
Around 50K followers on Threads, where she shares tips, polls, and behind-the-scenes updates.
Chelsea’s VFX videos are short, fun, and full of storytelling. Some popular ones include her “morning coffee” jump (about 10 million views), the “rocky journey” climb (15 million views), and her flying video over Toronto (15 million views). Her behind-the-scenes reply to a fan in March 2024 even saw a 42,246.89% engagement rate, showing just how much her followers love connecting with her.
She’s always pushing herself to learn more. Right now, she’s working on building her 3D VFX skills and creating an online course to teach others how to make the kind of magical videos she’s known for. Her content is not only fun but also inspiring for creators who want to learn VFX.
